Peruse you career growth and personal development through diving

Personal development planning means creating opportunities to think through, in a structured way, questions such as:

  • What do I really want to achieve from life?
  • What kind of person do I want to be?
  • Am I clear about my personal goals and ambitions?
  • Am I making the right decisions to get me where I really want to be?
  • Am I in charge of my life and my studies - or am I just hoping it all will work out somehow?

It has been recognized that students need structured opportunities to think about, and plan towards, their future. The exact content really depends on you.

Benefits of personal development plans

  • Gaining a clearer focus to your learning.
  • Helping to keep yourself motivated.
  • A better understanding of how you learn and how to improve your performance.
  • More enjoyment and less stress from your learning as you become consciously skilled.
  • More awareness of how to apply your learning to new problems and contexts.
  • Reflective thinking skills that can strengthen academic performance.

Career Development, people's work-related needs and preferences evolve and change continuously throughout life. At the same time, the world of work is continuously evolving and adapting to economic, political and social changes.

Career development acknowledges the complexity of people's lives and the uncertainty of the world of work; it focuses on enabling people to develop the skills to manage these challenges, make good decisions about their working lives, and maximize their contribution to the communities in which they live and work.

  • For individuals, career development incorporates a wide range of activities related to career planning and decision-making, all through diving.
  • In organizations, career development is an integral part of effective human resource management practice.

Divers who are into diving they want to be able to enjoy diving to the maximum, and this require better diving skills.

At Dive Syndrome you can name the skills you want to work on and a specialist will take you through a development plan without having to enroll yourself into a course that you actually don't need. You have more fun and develop at the same time.

Dive Syndrome Team is a group of professional dive enthusiasts with extensive experience who decided to make a difference in the diving world.

Our team members are professional business coaches, professional learning and development trainers, and professional business leaders who happened to end up diving. Combining multinational corporate experiences, psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and NLP with diving makes us capable of making a personalized transformational diving experience that will last.

Diving to us transforms personalities, it changes paradigms, it treats emotional traumas, it brings out undiscovered capabilities, and its so much fun.
We want more people to enjoy diving. We know for fact that they are missing 70% of the beauty on earth. Many of them are discouraged due to their fear, that’s why we decided to help them professionally.

Reality is, in the diving field we have seen the destructive psychological consequences of dealing with divers as ‘just another customer’ pushing them to dive for the sake of another dollar, imposing a fixed teaching method regardless of what divers want/like, how they feel, and what’s best for them in terms of learning preferences and psychological needs.

We are in deep love with diving, and we feel sorry for many diving lovers who get turned off diving because of a bad experience with some who only care about money, same with nature, environment is an asset that we appreciate and we feel sorry for the negative environmental consequences caused by bad teaching and irresponsible diving behaviors.

Diving just like anything else in the world has been created for human beings, so it’s more important to understand human beings before diving.
Because we are professional psychology practitioners we took upon ourselves to invest more into the human and psychological aspects of diving not only the technical part.

Dive Syndrome is honored to be the first in the diving community to deal with phobias and diving related disorders through psychometrics, one to one sessions, and personalized development plans.

We offer an extensive range of diving and specialty courses, for both new and experienced divers, that is fully customized to fit your personality, learning style and your diving future aspirations.

What’s involved in learning to scuba dive with Mirage Divers? http://miragedivers.com/14-faqs/diving-beginners-common-questions/2-whats-involved-in-learning-to-scuba-dive.html http://miragedivers.com/14-faqs/diving-beginners-common-questions/2-whats-involved-in-learning-to-scuba-dive.html

Learning to scuba dive is an incredible adventure!

With Mirage Divers as your diving center and PADI as your training organization, your path to breathing underwater is accomplished in three exciting phases:

1. Knowledge Development
Learn the lingo! During the first phase of your PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification, you develop an understanding of the basic principles of scuba diving. You learn things like how pressure affects your body, how to choose the best scuba gear and what to consider when planning dives.

You briefly review what you have studied in the five knowledge sections with your instructor and take a short quiz to be sure you’re getting it. At the end of the course, you’ll take a longer quiz that makes sure you have all the key concepts and ideas down. You and your instructor will review anything that you don’t quite get until it’s clear.

With Mirage Divers you can select the knowledge development option you prefer:

  • Start right now and learn to scuba dive online with PADI eLearning at your own pace—anytime, anywhere (great for busy schedules).
  • Contact us now and book you diving course with Mirage Divers (great value holiday plans and fantastic diving).
  • Attend a scheduled scuba diving class at your local PADI dive shop (great for meeting new friends and dive buddies).
  • Take advantage of home study using PADI multimedia materials (manual, video, CD-Rom) so less classroom time when you are in Dahab.

2. Confined Water Dives – Scuba Skills Training

This is what it’s all about – diving. You develop basic scuba skills by diving in shallow water with pool-like conditions surrounded by fish. You will learn everything from setting up your scuba gear to how to easily get water out of your scuba mask without surfacing. You’ll also practice some emergency skills, like sharing air or replacing your scuba mask.

Plus, you may play some games, make new friends and have a great time.

There are five confined water dives, with each building upon the previous. Over the course of these five dives, you attain the skills you need to dive in open water.

3. Open Water Dives
After your confined water dives, you and the new friends you’ve made continue learning during four open water dives with your Mirage Divers PADI Instructor at a dive site. This is where you fully experience the underwater adventure – at the beginner level, of course. You may make these dives near the diving center or after a 30 min. jeep drive to the south of Dahab.

How long does it take to get certified with Mirage Divers, Dahab? http://miragedivers.com/14-faqs/diving-beginners-common-questions/3-how-long-does-it-take-to-get-certified.html http://miragedivers.com/14-faqs/diving-beginners-common-questions/3-how-long-does-it-take-to-get-certified.html

It takes only a few days to get certified. It’s possible to complete your confined and open water dives in as few as three or four days.

You can also save yourself some classroom time while you are on your holiday in Dahab by completing the theory portion online via PADI eLearning or through some home study using PADI materials.

And it is good to know that with Mirage Divers the PADI Open Water Diver course is incredibly flexible and performance based, which means that we offer a wide variety of schedules, paced according to how fast you progress.

Mirage Divers instructors are interested in you learning to scuba dive, not in how long you sit in a classroom. So training is based upon demonstrating that you know what you need to know and can do what you need to do. This means that you progress at your own pace – faster or slower depending upon the time you need to become a confident scuba diver who dives regularly. and of course you can start learning to scuba dive online right now with PADI eLearning.
